Former Baltimore Raven/Cleveland Brown running back Jamal Lewis, is among the former NFL players who have filed a lawsuit against the league for failing to do enough to protect them from concussions. The players claim that they have been left with brain injuries that have caused them to struggle with medical issues long after they have ended their football careers. The players are also claiming that the league has known about the potential damage and long term effects of concussions as early as 1920, but have only decided to act on it starting last year. The NFL maintains that it has always made player safety a priority and will continue to do so.
