The 31-year-old singer has already begun her brand responsibilities, saying her art and the soda’s brand mesh so well.
In a recent statement Beyonce said, “Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” . “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
Knowles has worked with Pepsi in the past, appearing on ads for the brand. She will also perform at the halftime show at this year’s Pepsi-sponsored Super Bowl.
Standing ovation Bey! 🙂
Robert Griffin III suffered what at first seemed to be a gruesome leg injury in the last quarter against the Baltimore Ravens yesterday. The rookie quarterback went down as he scrambled for a game-tying score. Facing 2nd and 19, Griffin ran to his left and turned upfield. After picking up 13 yards, he collided with Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata , causing his right leg to bend awkwardly.
After four more plays the No. 2 overall pick needed to be helped off the field. Of those four plays, Griffin completed two passes for a combined 37 yards.
Then, Cousins came to save the day.
With the Redskin trailing, 28-20, Cousins delivered a pass to Leonard Hankerson for 15 yards to advance the ball to Baltimore’s 11-yard line. On 3rd and 5, Cousins found Pierre Garcon in the end zone for a touchdown. Still in need of a two-point conversion, Cousins ran up the middle to send the game into overtime, where Kai Forbath gave the Redskins their fourth straight win with a 34-yard field goal.
With everyone in the nation’s capital worrying about whether RG3 will be able to finish the season, No. 10 downplayed the injury to reporters after the game.
“I’m not a doctor, but I know what an ACL feels like. It doesn’t feel like an ACL,” he said after the game, via CSN Washington. “I feel pretty good right now about the whole situation. I’m not too nervous but I’ll definitely be praying during the MRI.”
Fortunately, the MRI showed no significant damage…just a knee sprain.
Although we here at The M. are Ravens fans and that was a tough loss…we all were praying and hoping that things ended well for RG3. He’s awesome! 🙂 Check out the hit below.

Bryant joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387), Karl Malone (36,928), Michael Jordan (32,292) and Wilt Chamberlain (31,419) as the only players to tally 30,000 or more points in the NBA, per Basketball-Reference.
Not only is Kobe the youngest player to reach this milestone, at the age of 34…he also the only player to do so while playing for just one club. The M. congratulates you! 🙂
Beyoncé will “definitely” be ready with new music before she takes the stage at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans for her performance at Super Bowl halftime show on February 3rd, says singer/songwriter/producer extraordinaire The-Dream.
When asked by Billiboard Magazine whether Beyonce had new songs on the way, The-Dream responded: “Definitely. She’s got her stuff going. She took the summer to start recording, and now she’s in a place where she’s ready to start gearing up to reveal her plan.”
The-Dream also said that he’s “involved in every part of the process” for Beyoncé’s upcoming fifth album, after co-writing five songs on her last album, 4.
“She’s already gearing up to get ready to put stuff out,” The-Dream said. “I’m sure there will probably be a couple records you hear before the Super Bowl gets here.”
Next year is shaping up to be a busy one for Beyoncé. Along with the Super Bowl show, and the growing possibility of a new record, on February 16th HBO will premiere a new documentary, directed by Beyoncé, that explores her performing, recording and, of course, parenting duties.
